20 - Ten Beautiful Women (who have done horror)
Yesterday I had a small
selection of eye-candy for the
men-liking people out there. Today’s the day for those who prefer the ladies.
Hello people who prefer the ladies.
As always, not a top ten list
and not arranged in order of merit, here are ten women from the world of horror
I think you might like. Let the objectification of women begin!
Alex Breckenridge. Shown here in American Horror Story: Murder House, she
also appeared in Wishcraft, Vampire Clan, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and True
Blood.
Angela Pleasance. Daughter
of Donald. Shut up, it’s my list. Horror work includes From Beyond the Grave,
The Godsend and Symptoms.
Danielle Harris. The scream
queen. Star of Halloween 4 & 5, Urban Legend, Killer Bud, Rob Zombie’s
Halloween and Halloween II, Godkiller, The Black Waters of Echo’s Pond, Stake
Land, Chrome Skull, Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet, Among Friends
(which she also directed), Hatchet II,
Hatchet III and a whole bunch of others I’m probably forgetting.
Deborah Ann Woll. To my mind, the most attractive
woman on True Blood – which is saying something for a flesh-filled show like
that. She’s also one of the most interesting characters on the show – a devout
Christian until she’s bitten by a vampire, at which point she’s able to give
free rein to all her basest urges. The only other horror credit I could find
was the remake of Mother’s Day.
Eliza Dushku. I wish she’d gone on to play Faith
full time instead of Tru Calling, but it was not to be. She’s been in Buffy the
Vampire Slayer, Angel, Soul Survivors, Wrong Turn, The Alphabet Killer and Open
Graves.
Jennifer Tilly. Have you seen Bound? See Bound.
Horror roles include Embrace of the Vampire and multiple appearances as Tiffany
in the later (non-Child’s Play) Chucky movies.
Jenny Agutter. One of the many, many reasons to
love An American Werewolf in London. She also appeared in Child’s Play 2.
Katharine Isabelle. Another modern-day scream
queen, she has appeared in Supernatural, 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, 13 Eerie,
American Mary, Freddy vs Jason, Disturbing Behaviour, the TV movie version of
Carrie, and the Ginger Snaps trilogy.
Lily Rabe. Across all three seasons so far of American Horror Story, Lily
Rabe has been one of the stand-out characters. This is her season three look,
as a Stevie Nicks-obsessed witch.
Madeline Smith. A little
Hammer glamour to finish on. Smith appeared in Tam-Lin, Taste the Blood of
Dracula, The Vampire Lovers, Theatre of Blood and Frankenstein and the Monster
from Hell

19 - Ten Hot Horror Hunks
Ladies, gay men and anyone
else who’s interested, please pray silence for I bring you today’s entry – a rundown
of ten hot horror hunks.
As always, not a top ten list
and not arranged in order of merit, here are ten men from the world of horror I
think you might like.
Oliver Reed. Forget the aging
drunk of his latter career and look at this guy. Contributions to horror
include Curse of the Werewolf, The Brood and The Devils.
Russell Todd - despite this
being one of the smuggest pictures ever. Appeared in He Knows You’re Alone,
Friday the 13th Part II and Chopping Mall.
David Boreanaz. Sure, he’s
moved on to crime drama now. Appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and
Valentine.
Aidan Turner. That’s two
vampires already, and two TV guys. Doesn’t say much for the guys in horror
films I watch, does it? Starred in seasons 1-3 of Being Human, but otherwise
appears to have avoided horror.
Jensen Ackles. Supernatural is
filled with eye candy for those into the fellas. Also appeared in Devour and
the My Bloody Valentine remake.
Jared Padalecki. Another guy
from Supernatural. Also appeared in House of Wax, Cry_Wolf and the Friday the
13th remake.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Also from
Supernatural where he plays the father of the above actors, and real life where
he apparently plays Javier Bardem. Apart from Supernatural, he’s appeared in The
Possession and The Resident.
Alexander SkarsgÄrd. Another
TV vampire, this time from True Blood, which appears to be his only horror role unless you count the Straw Dogs remake.
Joe Manganiello. Another True
Blood star, and my choice to play Cajun X-Man Gambit in any film appearances.
True Blood looks to be his only horror role.
Adam Green. I don’t care, I
happen to think he’s quite handsome. Acted in, directed or wrote (or any
combination thereof) Hatchet I-III, Spiral, Frozen, Chillerama: The Diary of
Anne Frankenstein, Holliston, Digging Up The Marrow and a ton of horror/comedy
shorts.
Tomorrow – the objectification
of women!
